Celebrating another rotation around the Sun today. Wiser? Hopefully. Certainly more weathered. Birthdays are always a reminder to me of how thankful I am to wake up everyday and do what I love. So incredibly grateful to all my clients, family, friends and followers over the years who have enabled me to invest my time and energy into pursuing this craft. It’s a special feeling when a historic brand like reaches out. It’s even more reassuring when they insist you bring your own true flavor. These signs are the product of a decade of hand lettering practice and study of NYC’s rich visual history of . It was surreal to paint next to photos of myself, meet tourists and native New Yorkers alike and field questions about my craft.
