Len's Fabrication Len's Fabrication provides custom, decorative, and functional metal work for the yard and home. This includes railings, gates, fences, and panels.

I have been working with metal since 1990 and have been creating metal artwork since 1995. My goal is to provide custom metal work, both functional and decorative for outdoor, automotive (non-mechanical), boat, home, and commercial (non-structural)) uses at a reasonable price. Working on some fun projects- had the opportunity to make a couple arbors- this one for a wedding tomorrow. The bride wanted an over sized butterfly and bird. A similar arbor was made for a friend that has been placed at the entrance to their home. Next project is a few gates for a lovely home on the south hill. Enjoy!

No excuse for not posting for all too long.. but 2020 has been a roller coaster for us, even before Covid. Hope you are well despite the chaos of the times.
Len went to the Seattle Flower and Garden show again this year, in late February.
Just sharing an old and some new. The Fish Gate found a home. The other 2 gates demonstrate Len's range of work. From lawn and garden gates to driveway entrance gates.
He's eager to work up your gate, railing or other metalworks.

Sorry for the long delay in posting some news. Summer has been busy with family and friends gatherings and projects.
I wanted to share one of the projects Len got involved in at Birds Of Prey NW. This is a raptor rehab program near St. Maries, ID. Long story short, they needed a roof structure on their flight run- used to get birds stronger- hopefully readying them for release. So with the help of good friends- Rod Feyk and Kelvin Kerbs- the trusses got built. See photo- they look small but span 28 ft. The trusses were then powder coated by Powder Tech- a wonderful donation. Some metal was provided at lower cost by CDA steel. Great thanks are owed to those individuals and businesses !
Plus wanted to shout out to the folks we met at Art on the Green in CDA. It was our second show there and it is always enjoyed! Hard to beat a sunny day near the shores of Lake CDA. Len has been making bird baths with old farm disks and had them available for sale, along with his gates and flowers. We have our birdbath connected to our automatic sprinkler system but can attach small pump.

Len has taken a love for the underwater environment in creating a gate for the upcoming shows-Seattle Flower and Garden in the Convention Center Feb. 20-24 and then Spokane's Custer Home and Yard Show Feb. 28-March 3rd. Come see his Octopus gate.
Fun facts-an octopus has 9 brains, one for managing each arm ;3 hearts- 2 of which pump blood to the gills. Cool huh?

Lots of twists and turns with this project. Beautiful setting, unobstructed with cable railing. Staircase designed by owners. The platform/decorative panels in the staircase will be enhanced by lighting. The staircase is attached to the upper deck only and has stainless-teflon shoes/plates at the base that slide on the bottom landing, allowing for movement that will occur with the changes in temps here in the Inland NW.

A customer's idea sent Len off to a new design that he used in an outdoor staircase. The 2 panels displayed serve as platforms at curves in the staircase. Similar panels accentuate other areas in the deck railing/staircase frame. Once done with the metal work, the panels /platforms were set in epoxy, creating the opportunity for illumination from below. The open circular shapes are inviting and curious.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Winter seems to have slowed the creative process. But February usually stirs things up for me, as I prepare for the shows in Seattle and Spokane. Len created this railing for a couple soon to expand their family and our larger Wolf family. They started their lives together with the purchase of a lovely home in Federal Way. Hope to see you at Sorticulture in Everrett. This Garden and Yard Art Show is next weekend, June 9th-11th.This will be a return trip for us, as we enjoyed participating in this great arts community event two years ago. Such a lovely location. The crowd at the show , both visitors and vendors were friendly and welcoming.
