Progress continues at River Port, and we’re excited to share a closer look at the ongoing improvements across the facility.

Work on Pier 15 is well underway, with 104 new concrete piles being installed, each 110 feet long and able to support at least 100 tons. Once in place, new steel reinforcement and high-strength marine concrete will complete the deck, boosting the pier’s load-bearing capacity. This upgrade will better support our cranes, forklifts, and heavy equipment for vessel service. The project remains on track for August completion.

A new service road is now complete on the yard’s east side, improving laydown area access and streamlining emergency vehicle routes. We continue to collaborate with local fire departments to uphold the highest safety standards.

At the 14th Street site, a new parking lot with over 500 spaces is nearing completion along with upgraded lighting. A dry swale stormwater drainage system has been completed around the perimeter of the property, using a layered filtration process to treat runoff before it reaches the river. This environmentally responsible solution protects local waterways better than traditional retention ponds.

Exciting progress is underway at River Port! Picking up where we left off in 2022, construction on the end of Pier 15 has begun. Our team is hard at work demolishing old and unnecessary concrete structures and cutting openings in the existing deck. These openings will allow us to lower and drive new piles through the old surface, providing critical support for the new deck.

Once the pile driving phase is complete, fresh concrete will be poured, ensuring the new cap is perfectly flush with the section completed in 2022.

We’re on track to wrap up this project by the beginning of August. Stay tuned for more updates as work continues!

Progress on 14th Street continues at a steady pace. Light posts are being installed, and final pavement work has been completed in several sections. Our stormwater drainage system is now approximately 50% complete, with ongoing construction of the second stormwater pipe and its dry swale best management practice (BMP), which includes engineered soil media and an underdrain to temporarily store and filter stormwater.

The majority of the sidewalks encircling the block have now been poured, providing improved pedestrian access. Interior sidewalks will be completed after the construction of the building structures. At this stage, our primary focus remains on establishing a strong foundation for the future Warehouse, and Apprenticeship School.
