Employee Spotlight: Troy Picard

For the past 26 years, Troy has been an important part of the team at Latva Machine. Starting fresh out of high school, he found more than just a job, he found a workplace that feels like family.

Troy enjoys the daily challenges of precision machining and the opportunity to continually learn new skills. One thing that keeps the work exciting is the variety of projects that support industries ranging from aerospace and military to automotive and high-tech manufacturing.

Outside of work, Troy spends his time golfing, hiking, attending concerts, grilling, baking, and gaming. His positive attitude and willingness to help make him a valued member of the Latva team.

Employee Spotlight: Tammy Templeton

For 30 years, Tammy has been an important part of the Latva Machine team. What started as a search for a job closer to home became a long-term career built on pride, teamwork, and family values.

Tammy says one of the reasons she stayed is that Latva is family-owned and operated. "I not just a number; I am a person." She takes pride in seeing the parts our team produces and the industries we support every day.

She also believes one of the biggest surprises about working at Latva is the size of the facility and the advanced machining capabilities we offer. More importantly, she describes her coworkers as family, always willing to help one another.

Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren and her dogs, Bodie and Charlie. She's also passionate about fitness, meal prepping, and tackling home renovation projects.

We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on technician to support our facility and CNC equipment. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy troubleshooting, repair, and precision work; this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:
• Maintain and repair CNC machines and facility equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, and restore operations quickly
• Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup

What We’re Looking For:

DEBURR / POLISHER – AEROSPACE & HIGH‑TECH PARTS
$20–$26/hr | Full‑Time |
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Deburr/Polisher to support the finishing and final inspection of aircraft components and high‑tech assemblies in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
Deburr, polish, and blend precision parts to visual & print standards
Work with metals like stainless steel, titanium, Inconel & aluminum
Use hand tools, Dremels, files, and polishing equipment
Read and interpret prints & dimensional requirements
Perform final visual inspections and complete job documentation

What We’re Looking For
2+ years deburring/polishing experience (preferred)
Experience reading prints & working to tight tolerances
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Professional, team‑oriented, and safety‑focused

Last week, our team hit pause on the daily grind and got together for our annual summer company BBQ. From smoked brisket and burgers to prize draws and plenty of laughs, it was a great opportunity to connect, recharge, and celebrate the incredible people who make our success possible every day.
