HVAC PRICING IS ABOUT TO LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT.

As always thank you for supporting local business, but we'd like to return the favor!

Cool Guy HVAC is testing direct-to-consumer pricing built around complete transparency.

You pay the equipment cost and sales tax. We add an 8% procurement fee, clearly stated installation labor, and the required installation materials.

No mysterious equipment markup. No inflated package pricing. No games.

For example, a 3-ton, 14 SEER2 York (not some value brand) air conditioner with a matched cased evaporator coil and an 80% efficient 80,000 BTU furnace:

$6,585.76 installed

That includes the equipment, sales tax, procurement, complete-system installation labor, and our basic complete-system installation package.

You still receive professional installation, manufacturer warranty registration, and Cool Guy HVAC’s full 24-month workmanship warranty.

Don't let people tell you that old unit is worthless!!!

Couple weeks ago we met with the folks at the Hesston area senior center. Their main area AC has been running at 50% capacity for the last few years. They weren't offered a lot of solutions but rather told repeatedly it all needs replaced.

The last part is true. It does all need replaced. But it doesn't mean that they had to suffer while waiting for an opportunity for that replacement to come.

So true to form, we worked with HASC and thought outside the box. With the upcoming demolition of the old middle school, an opportunity arose. Why don't we salvage one of those units and slap it in over here? It wasn't quite the capacity of the machine we were removing, but it was close. And something is better than nothing, especially with an upcoming fish fry and an incredibly warm summer so far.

So today we installed that used machine. And it took off without any hesitation. The senior center likely feels the best it has in years.

A machine was saved from the salvage pile.

And we provided some extra comfort when everybody else told them no.

Just showing off this clean little install we did for a shop out in Sedgwick. Nice 5 ton unit to help keep those hot days a little more comfortable when the work is trying to get done.

Also I just want to bring attention to the fact that some of you may have noticed that our office in Cedar Village has gone dark. Our lease expires at the end of August and in an effort to keep our pricing down as inflation climbs and gas prices stay high we are shaving expenses everywhere we can.

The business is stable and we are getting along just fine so please don't take this as a sign of us on the verge of shutting down. We've just scaled back to keep up with the times. The worst part of all of this is a slow down in response time. But lately we've been able to get to everybody within 24 hours. Or at least in most cases.

Maintenance's are the thing that we struggle with getting caught up on the most. But I want to assure you we keep a list and we are trying.

There should be no interruptions in phone service as we move. Mostly the office is packed up and we will probably be out of there by the end of next weekend. We're just moving the office back to the house so that Jay can easily handle the calls, but manage the homestead as well.

We appreciate everybody's grace as we are continuously adapting and adjusting to the changes.

But I am committed to this community, I'm not going anywhere

I’m looking for someone to help me organize volunteers for my campaign for Kansas House District 72.

Truth be told, I’m learning as I go. I’m an HVAC contractor, not a career politician, and I’ve never run a campaign before.

What I do know is that this campaign is growing, more people are reaching out wanting to help, and I need someone who can help keep those efforts organized.

I’m looking for someone who is dependable, organized, good with people, and excited about making a difference in our community. Political experience isn’t required.

The final weight came in at 3,920 pounds of scrap compressors. (No trailer😬)

And somehow, against all odds, Matthew Micheal Montigny guessed EXACTLY 3,920 pounds.

Dead on. 😳

Seriously though, thank you to everybody who participated. We had a ton of fun with this and loved seeing all the interaction. We’ll definitely be doing more contests like this again soon.
