As an Advanced Project Scientist at Thorlabs, Sterling has dedicated years of service to the optics and photonics community through leadership roles with Optica, serving as FiO program chair and as CLEO program chair and general chair over the past several years.

Throughout his career, Sterling has connected people across industry, academia, and the broader photonics community. We're excited to see that experience and perspective help shape Optica's future in the years ahead.

Dr. Laura Maddalena, a Marie SkΕ‚odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Italian Institute of Technology, will share her experience installing and integrating the Mini2P microscope in her lab.

Dr. Irma A. Tello-Garcia, a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA working in one of the first laboratories to install the Mini2P microscope, will provide a firsthand look at using the system for calcium imaging in freely-moving mice, including practical solutions, troubleshooting techniques, and experimental videos.

Dr. Adrijana Crncec, Product Manager at Thorlabs, will conclude with exciting updates and new developments for current and future Mini2P microscope users.

Take a look inside our new Quantum Realm (QR) building. πŸ‘€

At our ribbon-cutting celebration, employees had the opportunity to get a firsthand look inside the facility and learn more about the teams and technologies that support Thorlabs' work around the world.

The tours highlighted everything from how products are distributed to customers worldwide to the work involved in advanced systems development, quality assurance, compliance, and sustainability. For many employees, it was a rare chance to see parts of the organization they collaborate with every day but don't often experience in person.

As our Newton headquarters continues to grow, creating opportunities for employees to learn from one another helps strengthen the collaboration that drives innovation across the company. We're excited to share this behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition to the Thorlabs campus and the people who will help shape its future.
