We poured our first bridge deck overlay of the year today on Highway 20 in Hamilton county. Hopefully they all go as well this year as it did today.

Champions of the second annual Jasper Construction employee golf outing- Caleb Rhoads, Maddox Rhoads, Noam Rhoads, Beckett Rhoads and Jaxon Rhoads. It was a great day at Oakland Acres Country Club in Grinnell. Prizes, good food and and good times. See you all next year when the Rhoads boys will be ready to defend their title!

Today was the last day of paving on what now has to be one of the smoothest riding bridges in Iowa! The Dubuque County Highway 61 Peosta Channel bridge required over 42,000 square yards of overlay which is several times bigger than any other bridge we have done. And the new riding surface will not need to be touched by a grinder for any bumps. That is almost unheard of considering that the bridges we do are often rough riding to begin with. I won’t be surprised if this project wins an award for excellence. Congratulations to all of our employees who worked on this project the last two years. You can be very proud of the result of your great efforts!

Our guys in Clinton started paving this morning in Iowa and ended up in Illinois! That has been a first for the company!😜

Our team working on the Highway 136 Mississippi River bridge project in Clinton finished the first of many overlays that this large bridge will require. This bridge also has many expansion joints that we have to remove and replace which will require getting under the bridge on suspended platforms and working over the water. It will take the entire remaining construction season to finish this project.
