🌾The next limit to farm growth may not be acres. It may be capacity.

That was one of the ideas that stood out to us at Penn State Ag Progress Days 2026.

A farm can add more acres. But every additional acre also adds operational pressure — more work to complete, more people to find, more equipment to keep running, and more decisions to make within increasingly narrow windows.

At some point, simply adding more labor and equipment stops being the most efficient way to scale.

The bigger opportunity is to increase the capacity of the operation itself.
