37th Division Royal Engineers

37th Division Royal Engineers A historical recreation of British Royal Engineers during the Great War. We provide Tri-State eduational displays and reenact campaigns in Newville, PA. Ullo!

We are a reenacting group depicting the Royal Engineers in the First World War (1914-18). We seek to educate the public about the vital role the RE played in British operations against the Central Powers. The particular units we portray are within the 37th Division (New Army) which served on the Western Front from 1915-18. Whether its construction, demolition or communication, the RE are "ubique."

We regularly engage in the Newville, PA tactical event where a section of the 1918 frontline in France is re-created complete with working trench systems, phone lines and even aircraft. We also present living history for schools, public events and commemorations in an effort to educate and celebrate the lives of those who were alive at the dawn of modern technology in the seminal event of the 20th century. If you would like to join us, please contact us here and we shall send a timely reply with more information for your participation.
