⭐️🏠Project Spotlight: Pleasant Valley Village| Dickson, Tennessee

Pleasant Valley Village is a completed renovation project that reflects a strong commitment to accessibility, functionality, and thoughtful design within an existing structure. REB provided design services in coordination with THDA and Rural Development, guiding the project from concept through completion.
A key focus of the renovation was the reconfiguration of accessible kitchen spaces to ensure full code compliance while improving usability for residents. The design team navigated several existing constraints, including structural columns and outdated stairs, requiring innovative solutions to meet current building codes while maintaining the integrity of the building.

In collaboration with Housing Associates, LP and Doss Brothers Construction.

This past Friday, our team enjoyed a perfect mix of food, fresh air, and local history! 🍽️🍦🏠

We started with lunch at Josie's Restaurant, followed by a short walk for a sweet treat at Graeter's Ice Cream!

We then visited Pope Villa, originally built in 1811 as a summer home for Senator John and Eliza Pope and designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe. Additions were made in 1843 and later used as college apartments. A fire in 1987 caused significant damage to the interior, including the circular rotunda. In 2007, the Bluegrass Trust for Historic Preservation removed those additions to return the home to its original footprint and reconstructed the front portico. Today, restoration efforts continue through a partnership with Bluegrass Trust and Mitchell Park Companies to bring back the interior rotunda and oculus skylight.

⭐️🏠 Project Spotlight: Distribution Center for LDS | Nashville, TN

We’re proud to spotlight the newly completed Distribution Center for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

REB provided retail space design and construction administration, creating a space that seamlessly aligns with the Church’s established design standards and complements the adjacent worship facility. A unique challenge included a dance studio located directly above the retail space. To ensure a comfortable shopping environment, we incorporated additional sound-absorbing insulation above the ceiling tile to significantly reduce noise transfer.
