Today’s post is sponsored by the letter F.

The Thermal Care website features a robust process cooling glossary designed to help explain terminology commonly used in process cooling equipment and applications.

Today’s glossary highlight: FLA - Full Load Amps

Full load amps (FLA) is the maximum current an industrial chiller draws when it runs at its full design capacity. This rating helps you size electrical wires, set up circuit breakers, and choose the right safety switches for the machine. Key Facts About FLA Shows peak power use under full load. Appears on the chiller data label. Guides electrical panel and wire setup. Prevents circuit overloads and power trips. Why FLA Matters Safety: Proper sizing keeps wires from overheating. Compliance: Electrical codes require setups to match FLA limits. Operations: Helps track if a compressor or pump has a hidden fault.
