In the late 1980s and early 1990s, QCP entered the design conversation, becoming more involved with landscape architects and their projects. Going beyond simply supplying objects, we started thinking more critically about helping designers determine how those objects could serve a larger idea. In 1995, we worked with Peter Walker and Partners, now PWP Landscape Architecture (PWP Landscape Architecture), on Library Walk at UC San Diego. The project marked an important shift toward design-led, project-specific work.

The preparation for is underway, and we’ve already loaded up our truck for the expo. We’re most excited to share our latest collection, the Sparrow. Made with upcycled urban lumber and precast concrete, it’s a modular line that represents the past, present, and future of QCP.

We’re counting down until the annual ASLA conference and expo, held a short drive from our factory in Norco, California. During the expo, stop by our booth ( #1917) to preview our latest release: We’re proud to introduce the Sparrow collection, a timeless, modular outdoor furnishings collection, crafted by QCP to give a second life to the materials of a place and create space for people to connect. Upcycled wood from Street Tree Revival is one of many expressions featured in this design, along with precast concrete and stone. Together, these materials become part of what comes next: places to gather, exchange ideas, and build connections that last.
