⚽ World Cup fever has hit the SWF office.

Twelve competitors signed up for randomly assigned countries. Flags flying at every desk. One FIFA LEGO World Cup Trophy is on the line. 🏆

The tournament starts tomorrow and as countries are eliminated, their flags will come down until only one is left standing.

Who will take home the trophy? Stay tuned to find out!

Congrats to our entire team that worked on this project!

After almost two years of hard-work and continued perseverance, Congregational Place in Chula Vista is now complete! This project is a ground-up development of a seven-story, affordable senior housing community featuring 56 residential units above a commercial space designated for a San Ysidro P.A.C.E facility, along with a one-story parking structure on the ground level.

This week, we will be sharing completed and in-progress project photos, highlighting special features and amenities for residents, and remembering past celebratory events leading up to the project’s completion.

💡 SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY 💡

This Spotlight Saturday, we’re celebrating Rob Demeritt and his incredible 40-year work anniversary!

Starting with Western Door before it merged with Sierra Wholesale Hardware to become Sierra West Finish (SWF), Rob has played a major role in keeping operations running smoothly for decades.

As Facility and Fleet Manager, most of Rob’s days begin around 2 a.m., coordinating deliveries and making sure crews have the materials, tools and support they need for the day ahead. From our Norco, CA headquarters to the jobsite, he serves as an important connection between the field and project managers, helping to make sure that deliveries arrive safely, efficiently and on schedule.

“Rob is always available to help,” says SWF Warehouse Manager, Adam Jacuinde. “He’s ‘Uncle Rob’ to us because he’s always there if you need him and just a phone call away and his dedication to helping everyone continue their work is very inspiring.”

Known for his practical jokes as much as his work ethic, Rob has become one of the personalities that helps make SWF what it is today. Outside of work, he’s been playing drums since he was 13 and enjoys spending time with his wife (they’ve been together 31 years), his two kids and four grandkids.

We’re grateful for your 40-years of service, Rob!

This is cool… Sierra West Finish was just featured in DDC Journal highlighting our upcoming project with JPI called Bungalows of Torrance.

SWF will be providing material and installation of Division 8 + 10 materials such as doors, frames, hardware and more.

We specialize in the multifamily and senior living market in Southern California.

Look at that beautiful shelf and pole installation at our multifamily housing project with W.E. O’Neil at Flora + Fauna in San Diego! We’ve purchased several steel pipe cutters, which is making the installation process safe and smooth for our crews.

We’re happy to announce that Sierra West Finish has been selected as the subcontractor for finish carpentry for the upcoming Bungalows of Torrance with JPI. Our Field Supervisor Marco was out checking the job-site recently for this six-story, 525-unit apartment complex. Our team will be providing and installing division 8 and 10 materials for this project.
