We have temporary power in place and are no longer flaring. The site is currently in a stable position.

Our team will continue working to determine a long-term solution for permanent power. While that work is underway, there may be a need for additional flaring, but we do not anticipate that occurring in the immediate future.

We will keep the community informed as we progress the work toward a permanent power solution.

Early this morning, we experienced a unit upset caused by an electrical issue. As a result, you may notice increased flaring and smoke from the site.

Our team is working to return the unit to normal operations.

We will share an update when the flaring has ended.

❤️ The Touchard family has spent years serving, supporting, and lifting up others throughout our community. Shell Norco employee Rochelle Touchard and her family embody the spirit of service, generosity, and commitment that make St. Charles Parish such a special place to call home.

When tragedy struck earlier this summer, St. Charles Parish wrapped its arms around them with extraordinary generosity, compassion, and love. Their heartfelt letter reminds us that the true strength of a community isn't measured in buildings or belongings, but in the people who stand together through life's most difficult moments.

Thank you to the first responders, neighbors, friends, coworkers, and countless community members who helped turn a devastating loss into a powerful example of community at its best. ❤️

🎉 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Annual Backpack Extravaganza a success!

Together, we provided 500 backpacks, school supplies, hygiene kits, bagged lunches, and other essentials to local students as they prepare for the new school year. We love being part of a community that comes together to support its students and invest in their future.

Our favorite way to kick-off the new school year is THIS SATURDAY - the Annual Backpack Extravaganza, co-sponsored by Shell! Starting at 8:00 AM at the Jerusalem Shriners, St. Charles Parish Public Schools students can receive free backpacks, school supplies and other resources to get the school year started on the right foot. A lifelong St. James Parish resident, Ray has dedicated 19 years to Shell Norco and is a proud graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Beyond his career, Ray is a devoted husband and father of three who loves spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and boating.
