Vulcraft Nebraska produces steel joists, joist girders, structural steel and steel roof and floor deck for construction projects across the country.

These products become integral parts of the structures where we work, learn, shop, gather and live, supporting projects ranging from office buildings and manufacturing facilities to shopping centers, data centers, airports and high-rise buildings.

That’s where the Nucor Detailing Center comes in. Norfolk teammates create detailed structural steel drawings and models that help turn building designs into the information needed for fabrication and construction.

Our teams support new construction projects as well as improvements and additions to existing structures, working on everything from schools and hospitals to warehouses, stadiums and beyond.

Precision matters, and that's where Nucor Cold Finish Nebraska comes in.

We take steel bar and further process it to improve its finish, straightness, strength, and machinability.

Cold-finished steel helps support the products we see and use every day, from farm and construction equipment to automotive components, industrial machinery and even the equipment you might find in a weight room.

At Nucor Steel Nebraska, it starts with scrap but becomes something much bigger.

Recycled scrap steel is melted and transformed into engineered steel bar and coil.

From there, some of that steel continues its journey right here in Norfolk, shipped across town to be fabricated at Vulcraft Nebraska or further finished at Nucor Cold Finish Nebraska.

The steel also serves markets including automotive, heavy trucks, heavy equipment and energy, helping provide the material behind products and equipment people depend on every day.
