Cobots are changing the game at Tabet Manufacturing.
Proud to see the Cobotic Alliance Center featured in today's Virginian-Pilot! Housed within Tabet and operated in partnership with the Genedge Alliance, the Center has spent the past year giving small and mid-sized manufacturers hands-on training in collaborative robotic welding technology — no expert welding background required.
As Genedge Alliance Executive Director Scott Schein put it in the piece: "What I really like about the cobotic welding technology is you don't necessarily need to be an expert welder to learn it."
The Center has already worked with 50+ companies across Hampton Roads and Virginia's shipbuilding industry, backed by ~$670,000 in funding from the Growth & Opportunity Virginia council. Open houses run quarterly — stay tuned for the next event!
