Today we showed up to run a service call on one of our commercial customers. Their outdoor system wasn’t coming on at all. After some quick work and finding a contactor that had some bad contacts we were able to get the system back up and operational.

We had a no heat call this morning on a heater we had replaced the hot surface igniter on last month. After some troubleshooting we came up with the same diagnostic this time. Even when replacing parts with OEM parts provided through the manufacture, sometimes you still get some duds.

The customer was happy because the part was under warranty, and we worked quickly to get their heat restored for them.

Just remember when you have something fail in the future, the equipment made now is not the same as the equipment in the past. And sometimes even new parts fail with how sensitive electronics are.

We got a no cooling call, and figured out that the board was intermittently shorting out due to moisture that the board has seen in the past. The old board was discontinued, but the manufacture had an updated version with 2 different landing terminations on some of the wires on the 12 pin plug. After a little re-wiring this machine was running top notch.

The result is a cool customer.

One of our residential customers called today after they had gotten back from out of town to a home that wasn’t cool.

After further inspection we found that the incoming wires to the furnace had been chewed on by mice and shorted out. With a new power whip replacement, and some new wires that went from the whip to the controls it took of and ran great. Everything was running within manufacture specs when we finished up the job.

Today we showed up to a service call for a new commercial customer, they complained about a noise coming from the ducting.

After further inspection we noticed that both the belts were stretched, cracked, and loose. The filters were also dirty. The belts being loose resulted in a squeeling noise. Once the belts were replaced everything was working properly.

Today we had a no cooling call. The customer said that the blower kept turning on and off and wouldn’t cool the home.

After arival and further inspection we noticed that the drain line was clogged and it was dripping onto the units control board. The control board had shorted out and kept resetting itself to result in the blower short cycling.

The result was a cool and happy customer.
