Some challenges require more than a standard kit.

That’s why Botball Explorer’s Expedition Division (Grades 7–12) allows teams to design and create custom 3D-printed robot components. Students aren’t just assembling robots—they’re engineering original solutions for real challenges through mechanical design, fabrication, and autonomous programming.

Discovery Division (Grades 6 and below) intentionally does not include 3D printing. Instead, it focuses on building strong engineering and autonomous programming fundamentals, creating a clear progression into Expedition Division when students are ready for more advanced design opportunities.

Something new is rolling in. 🤖
Introducing Botball Explorer a new autonomous robotics program designed to give students another way to grow their robotics skills.
Explorer offers two divisions for different stages of the robotics journey:
🔹 Discovery Division- grades 6 and under, featuring guided autonomy
🔹 Expedition Division- grades 7-12, featuring advanced programming and 3D-printed parts
Students can design, build, and program robots to take on hands-on challenges, develop engineering and problem-solving skills, and explore what’s possible when they bring their own ideas to life.
No joystick. No driving. Just robots, code, creativity, and a whole lot of problem solving.
Botball Explorer launches Fall 2026.
