A restaurant from Chattanooga (Stir) has opened a second location in the Old City in Knoxville, TN. Coal Creek Iron Works was apart of the construction of doing structural steel around the window / garage door opening along with railings, privacy fence and festoon light poles with some rails and gate in the kitchen area. Check them out STIR Knoxville. FYI - You might want to get some reservations if going.

We took a day this past week to go down to Birchwood, TN, just outside of Dayton to a TVA Cave at Blythe Ferry on the Tennessee River. We added some steel to the bottom side of a gate entrance to prevent people from entering the cave to protect the bats.
We built the original fence around most of the cave in 2015 and then added a little more onto the fence in 2018. This time, the task at hand was small and didn’t require much steel so it felt like a field trip of getting to do something different.

Finding ourself getting older and climbing that bank not as easy as it once was. Or those wooden steps with 1/2” of slippery moss on them not that safe for you and others. Than think about Coal Creek Iron Works fabricating and installing steel or aluminum steps like these, we did for a house on the Clinch River.
