Project Manager responsible for monitoring and administering construction projects from inception through customer delivery in support of SBCM’s growth initiatives. The duties of this job require a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality, accuracy, and excellence. Drive, determination, honesty, and self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet these established criteria are necessary for successful job performance.
Key Duties of the Project Manager Role:
• Responsible for overseeing all construction activities on several projects
• Coordinates scheduling of construction with the construction Superintendent(s)
• Assists in the preparation and awarding of contracts and purchase orders
• Assists in the management and quality control of submittals
• Responsible for field progress meetings
• Conducts the kick-off meetings with Superintendents and customers internally and externally
• Responsible for enforcing all safety rules on the construction site(s)
• Verify work is being performed safely and according to SBCM standards
• Actively participates in the SBCM Safety improvements
• Responsible for maintaining Customer confidence
• Responsible for construction field employees hiring, training, and development
• Review daily reports
• Check and approve timesheet(s) as applicable
What We Need in the Ideal Project Manager Candidate:
• Minimum of 15 years of combined experience with construction and construction management
• Must be familiar with standard Construction Management fundamentals by facilitating various methods of project delivery.
• Must be able to navigate basic software tools such as, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe PDF & Mark-Up.
• Willing to obtain OSHA 30 training Certificate & First Aid training.
• Must have proven ability to schedule projects and personnel
• Strong Analytical, problem solving ability with adaptive and constructive thinking
• Diverse managerial know how in managing and coordination of multiple disciplines
• Working experience with all phases of general Commercial construction
• Good experience in handling contract dispute
• Ability to work closely with customers, construction personnel, personnel in other workgroups, contractors, suppliers, and other team members
• Ability to work from drawings, specifications, and amendments
• Ability to understand and maintain job costs
• Ability to produce and maintain reports
• Ability to meet schedules within determined deadlines
• Act as a Site Safety and Quality Control Leader and role model to promote the highest standards in Quality Control, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture in the project community.
