This recently completed project at St. Francis Academy in Union City, New Jersey, demonstrates how decorative painting can completely transform an interior.

The painted stone-block effect, detailed blue-and-gold patterns, red drapery, ornamental borders, and other hand-painted elements were carefully developed to complement the architecture and character of the space.

After a years‑long restoration, Lambert Castle reopened to the public, drawing big crowds during its opening weekend. More than 3,000 visitors toured the newly restored site, prompting the county to introduce a timed ticketing system moving forward. Visitors can pre-book tickets for designated time slots for a smoother experience. Lambert Castle is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
