When was the last time your boss took your team to an NHL game? Tried to get to know you as a person? Showed you appreciation?

Big companies love talking about “culture.” At a small firm like ours, we actually strive to live it. We grind hard on our projects, but we also try to make sure our people get time off the clock to relax and build real friendships, not just coworker relationships.

Last Thursday we shut the office down early and treated the local CW3 engineering team members to dinner and drinks at Yard House, then we headed over to watch the Panthers take on the Bruins. Nothing beats good food, cold drinks, and watching the team enjoy time together. The team got exactly what we all needed, a small break from the recent chaos of submittals and deadlines.

Grateful for this crew. Nights like this are why building a great firm matters.

We’re always growing! Reach out if you’re a talented EI or PE who wants real appreciation (and the occasional hockey game).

Proud to celebrate a meaningful tradition in engineering! Last month at the FGCU Spring 2026 Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony, our own Jesse Gill, P.E., joined fellow members of the Order: Dr. Danley, Dr. Badir, and Richard Harrison to present the prestigious iron rings to the newest class of graduates.

This rite of passage symbolizes their lifelong commitment to ethics, competence, and protecting the public. It's inspiring to see experienced professionals and educators like Jesse and his colleagues mentoring and welcoming the next generation.

Congratulations to all the new ring-wearers! Wear them with pride!

Estero on the River Park Takes Shape – Bridge Set and Looking Incredible!

Big things on one of CW3's projects! We're providing part-time construction observations for the new Estero on the River Park, a vibrant development by the Village of Estero at the NE corner of US41 and Corkscrew Road.

Our team is overseeing site work, with ARCOS Bridge joining us for the structural elements. Last week, the 12-foot-wide pedestrian bridge was successfully installed across the Estero River!

Check out this quick video of the bridge placement (credit to ARCOS Bridge).

CW3 Engineering: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude

Six years ago, in 2019, I embarked on a mission to build CW3 Engineering from scratch with a vision to create a workplace that stands out. My goal was simple yet ambitious: foster a better work environment, deliver exceptional experiences, and truly value the Team—past and present—who have shaped our success.

It began with the basics in 2020: transforming our office into a welcoming space with new floors, modern desks, cabinets, comfortable ergonomic chairs, conference tables, and cohesive décor. These small steps laid the foundation for our culture.

Fast forward to last Friday, we reached a new milestone by purchasing our first brand-new Ford F-150 Crew Cab CEI/field truck. This investment reduces wear on our team's personal vehicles while strengthening our brand presence in the industry. Keep an eye out for us as we continue to grow!

CW3 had the honor of attending the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Awards in Orlando, 2/7/25 at the JW Marriott as part of the HDR Design Team for the I-75 & Colonial Improvements Project. We received 1 of the 5 GRAND Awards in the entire state of Florida! Being part of the project team and recipient of such a major award that was judged by a panel of professionals which based the decisions on merit and magnitude of impact to the community, makes it that much more special. Special thanks goes out to HDR for trusting CW3 with such a major role in the project!

CW3's role included providing all the design, permitting and construction administration for the Utility Work by Highway Contractor (UWHCA) Agreement work for all of Lee County Utilities AND City of Fort Myers' watermain, forcemain and reuse facilities throughout the entire corridor.

- 3,200' 16" Ductile Iron Watermain
- 1,000' 20" HDPE Watermain
- 4,000' 24" Ductile Iron Watermain
- 4,000' 16" PVC Forcemain
- 1,500' 20"&30" HDPE Directional Drilled Watermain under I-75 and Colonial Blvd.

Key West. CW3 was happy to provide the Civil Engineering Design on this project!

The Keys K2M Team attended the groundbreaking for the Frederick Douglass Community Center on Friday, September 8. Speakers at the ceremony repeated that this was a “long-awaited project” due in part to coordinating with multiple groups (the City, the Historic Architecture Review Commission, Bahama Village Community Redevelopment Agency Committee and the Bahama Village Music Program). The Center will house the music program, after-school programs, a business incubator, a performance and event space, and will also provide support to the neighborhood following tropical storms. During the ceremony and again on local radio Monday morning, Mayor Teri Johnston praised K2M for our responsiveness, flexibility and excellence with this much-anticipated project, a key component of the revitalization of the historic Bahama Village community.
