Things are moving forward steadily at Hillcrest Center in Pittsfield, where our team is focused on hitting essential groundwork milestones safely and efficiently.

We are currently wrapping up the sub-slab prep and gravel base to establish a rock-solid foundation for the upcoming structure. We are also finalizing the sewer manhole installation, bringing the kind of seamless coordination and teamwork it takes to keep a complex site running smoothly.

Kicking Off 2026 Strong: Safety, Strategy, and Success!

We officially kicked off the new year with the Hatfield Construction team! It was energizing to have everyone together to align on our vision for 2026 and map out the road ahead.

Our primary focus was reviewing our strategic plan, setting clear goals for the upcoming seasons, and SAFETY.

We’re back on-site at the Valley Community Development Amherst Community Homes project.
Our team is currently focused on the gravel base prep, ensuring a rock-solid foundation for future patios and walkways, as well as subgrading across the site to prepare for loam and final plantings.

The team is making great strides at the Hillcrest project as we focus on getting the first foundation buttoned up and ready for the next phase.

Our crews are moving fast on the installation of the drainage board and vertical rigid foam insulation. With the footing drains now in place, we have officially begun the foundation backfilling process.

It is great to see the site transforming every day under these clear skies.

Progress update from theHillcrest project site in Pittsfield. The walls are up for the basement foundation, a critical step in getting this structure out of the ground.

Winter construction in New England requires extra coordination, but the team is hitting every mark. We are now preparing to transition into the next phase: starting the foundations for the two main building wings.

Huge thanks to MGM for sending over this incredible timelapse. It captures the evolution of our latest monster truck project from start to finish. We went from the Thunderbirds rink to dirt and jumps and back again. It was a busy weekend, but seeing this come to life makes it all worth it!

35 Truckloads. 500 Yards. One Massive Weekend. 🚛💨
Hatfield Construction was proud to once again be the team behind the scenes at the MassMutual Center for this year’s Monster Truck event!
Our crew moved 500 yards of dirt (that’s 35 truckloads) on Thursday to transform the arena for the show. But the job doesn’t end when the trucks stop jumping. We were back on site Saturday night to remove every last bit of it so the Springfield Thunderbirds could hit the ice for their next game on Sunday.
