🚨 UV Protected Acrylic and UV Filtering Acrylic are NOT the same thing.

This is one of the most common misconceptions we see when customers are shopping for display cases, framing, and collectible protection.

✅ UV Protected (UV Resistant) Acrylic
• Protects the acrylic itself from yellowing, cracking, and weathering.
• This is standard for most quality acrylic sheets today.
• Does NOT necessarily mean harmful UV rays are being blocked from reaching your artwork or collectibles.

✅ UV Filtering Acrylic
• Specifically engineered to block harmful UV radiation.
• Helps protect artwork, photographs, memorabilia, documents, and collectibles from fading and deterioration.
• Often blocks up to 99% of damaging UV rays.

Many companies advertise "UV Protected Acrylic" as if it's a premium feature, when in reality most modern acrylic is already UV resistant. The real question is:

❓ How much UV light does the material actually block?

Before purchasing a display case or frame, always ask for UV transmission data and technical specifications.
