Fifty years ago today, Raul Dias started Custom Design, Inc. At the time, there were nearly 90 display companies in Rhode Island. Today, we’re proud to be the oldest one still standing.
Over the years we’ve weathered just about everything imaginable. Manufacturing moving overseas, economic downturns, storms, building damage, recessions, COVID, and even some of our largest customers closing their doors. Through it all, we’ve adapted, evolved, and kept moving forward.
That resilience isn’t because of a building or a logo. It’s because of the incredible people who have been part of this company over the last five decades. Their dedication, craftsmanship, and willingness to fight through every challenge have made this milestone possible.
As we begin Year 50, we’re grateful for our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners who have been part of the journey.
What you started 49 years ago is still going strong, and we’re just getting started. Here’s to the next 50.
