This was Joe’s second time to ever fly an aircraft. The look on his face speaks volumes about the enjoyment derived from this profession. Teaching is a rewarding and enjoyable experience. It becomes even more fulfilling when students are provided with an environment that fosters learning, allows for mistakes, encourages inquiry, and teaches best practices before entering the world as a licensed professional pilot. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the Professors and CFIs I have had the pleasure of learning from over the years.

Meet Joe Davis, Joe works for in the City of Little Rock's media team. He and and his partner Mike Cooney are responsible for making all of t he videos and promo spots that are seen on public access. Joe put forth 110% effort over the past week and secured a passing score on his 14 CFR part 107 (DRONE) exam. Joe was a pleasure to have in class resulting in a lot of laughter. If you see Joe out in the city make sure you stop and tell him congratulations, and who knows you may even get to be on TV.

Another SALT school is in the books and another batch of sUAS pilots are almost ready for the world.
Meet Mike Cooney (AKA the Ringer) who works for the City of Little Rock and makes the video that are seen on the public access channel. Mike put forth a tremendous effort which resulted in passing his 14 CFR Part 107 (DRONE) exam. I know I'm ready to see what he accomplishes with a drone. If you see Mike around the City of Little Rock while he is taking photos or video make sure you tell him congratulations.

Meet Ofc. William Hairston he has recently completed the SALT ground school and flight training. He also passed his FAA written exam with flying colors. Ofc.
