Sunset Pocket Digs hit a little differently once the sun goes down.

After digging into your pocket, head down to our washing station, rinse off your finds, and finally get a good look at what you pulled out of the mountain—even if you’re finishing under the lights.

If you’re joining us for one of our Sunset Pocket Dig dates, bring your own headlamp and EXTRA BATTERIES. You’ll be glad you have them if your dig takes you past sunset.

We still have select Sunset Pocket Dig dates available this fall, but they’ll be taking a break during the winter months.

Want to experience it for yourself? Check the calendar through the link in our bio and grab a Sunset Pocket Dig while they’re still available.

⛏️ This is what a real day on the mountain looks like.

No paved paths. No pre-planted gems. Just raw Arkansas mountainside, fresh tailings, and promising ground where crystals are waiting to be found.

On our Open Mountain Dig on September 19, you'll get a guided tour of the mining area, then explore and dig areas around the mountain, including spots under the trees where crystal-bearing areas can hide. We'll point you toward the right places and show you how to look. Everything you find is yours to keep.

This is a work-hard kind of day. The terrain is steep, rocky, and uneven, so come ready to hike, climb, and haul your tools, buckets, and crystals up and downhill.

📅 September 19 ONLY
💰 $150 per person
⛏️ 8 spots remaining
🔞 18+ only

This is the only Open Mountain Dig we have scheduled, and we don't know if or when we'll offer it again. Message us to claim a spot.

How does rare solution quartz really form?

Deep underground, crystals grow in pockets filled with a liquid called rectorite—not just in solid rock. That’s what makes our quartz so unique in Pulaski County. The same veins once made the Jeffrey Stone Quarry famous.

Curious to see where nature works its magic? Book a guided dig and experience crystal country for yourself. ✨

Ever notice we're using deer antlers instead of metal tools?

There's a good reason.

Quartz is incredibly hard, but when you're carefully working a crystal loose from a pocket, a steel tool can leave scratches or chip an edge if it slips. Antler is much softer than quartz, so it lets us gently work around delicate crystals with far less risk of damaging them.

This beautiful crystal came from the Scarlet Pocket, and using an antler tool helped us ease it out one careful movement at a time.

Sometimes the best mining tools aren't the fanciest ones—they're the ones that protect the crystal.

⛏️ Come dig with us at Flash Mountain and learn the techniques we use to safely recover these incredible Arkansas quartz crystals.

Look what Alicia found at Flash Mountain! 💎

This beauty was hiding in the mountain, still dusty from the dig and full of that Arkansas quartz glow. Every pocket has a story, and this one ended with a smile we won’t forget.

If you could take home just one of these crystals... which one would it be? 👀

Every one of these has its own unique growth pattern and personality. Some are delicate, some are chunky, some have incredible clarity, and some have unusual formations that collectors spend years searching for.

There isn't a wrong answer—we're just curious which one catches your eye first.

👇 Tell us which crystal you'd choose (top left, bottom right, center, etc.) and why!

Who knows... you might find your own favorite on your next visit to Flash Mountain. 💎

⛏️ We still have reservations available for our Sunset Pocket Digs, Premium Pocket Digs, and Open Mountain Digs. Visit our Linktree or website to book your adventure!

Come take a peek inside one of our favorite crystal pockets. 👀💎

The Scarlet Pocket has been one of the most exciting discoveries we've made. Every time we look inside, we're finding something new.

✨ Beautiful Faden Quartz.
🎵 Singing crystals.
⚡ Our signature lightning bolt quartz...and we're convinced this pocket still has more surprises waiting.

It's hard to describe the feeling of shining your light into a pocket and seeing crystal faces sparkling back at you.

⛏️ Want to experience it for yourself? We still have Sunset Pocket Digs, Premium Pocket Digs, and Open Mountain Digs available. Visit our Linktree or website to reserve your spot.

👇 Which formation would you be most excited to find: Faden, Singer, or Lightning Bolt Quartz?

Everyone knows one of the best times to go crystal digging is right after it rains—the water washes away the dust and makes the crystals sparkle.

But before you hit the mountain, let's train your eyes. 👀

💎 How many gemmy quartz crystals can you find in this photo?

Hint: Don't count the big white chunks of quartz. We're looking for the clear, glassy crystals peeking out of the dirt.

Drop your best guess in the comments, and we'll tell you how many we can see! ⬇️

Ready to put your new crystal-spotting skills to the test? Come join us for an Open Mountain Dig or reserve your own Pocket Dig at Flash Mountain. We can't wait to dig with you!
