Senior manager responsible for all new and existing customer development activities in assigned geographic region. Responsible to plan and win new designs in current and new direct account OEMs within region. Develops and manages Value Added Distributors to cover target OEMs within assigned region. Leads and participates in Global account and regional account sales teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Will include, but not limited to the following areas:
• Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including costs of selling, especially managing personal time and productivity.
• Plan and manage business region according to an agreed market development strategy which avoids channel conflict.
• Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company.
• Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed goals.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate discovery, proposals to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
• Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
• Respond to and follow up on sales leads using appropriate methods.
• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
• Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
• Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
• Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
• Creatively apply MICO solutions to customer’s needs.
• Record, analyze, report and administer according to Company systems requirements.
• Create and implement a Regional Business Plan which is in alignment with Company’s Strategic Plan.
• Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts, particularly achieving new opportunity and new account sales.
• Provide accurate Sales Forecasting market intelligence, competitive activity, Merger/Acquisition, customer re-organization activity information as required by Company.
• Appropriate Administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, performance metrics communication.
• Capable of traveling in all normal modes of transportation with proper documentation for MICO, Inc. business.
• Look for and recommend product and process improvements in support of corporate goals, objectives and activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelors Degree level education, MBA highly desirable and a minimum of 5 years experience in a sales management capacity in the hydraulics manufacturing industry is preferred. A combination of education and experience that may be equivalent may be qualifications for success in this position.
• Must have good understanding of OEM in Machinery segments.
• Knowledge of Direct and Distribution sales is highly desirable; strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be an excellent face-to-face, telephone and written communicator.
• Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
