⚾️🔧 Happy Friday, North Port — and happy Pine Tar Day!

On this day back in 1983, George Brett crushed a go-ahead 2-run homer off Goose Gossage at Yankee Stadium… only to have it wiped off the board because the pine tar on his bat extended just past the 18-inch rule. He came out of that dugout like a category 5 hurricane. (The Royals eventually protested, won, and the homer was reinstated weeks later.)

Moral of the story? Rules and codes matter — even the tiny ones.
