Taylor Devices

Taylor Devices Taylor Devices has manufactured fluid dampers since 1955, giving us extensive experience and a proven track record of quality and success.

Originally developed for NASA in the 1960s, fluid viscous dampers have successfully transitioned to the civil engineering community for use in protecting buildings, bridges and other structures worldwide. As a 2015 inductee into the Space Technology Hall of Fame, Taylor Devices has been recognized by NASA for innovations for the space program that now improve life on Earth. Stated further, these i

nnovations not only improve life on Earth, but in fact save lives on Earth. More than 600 buildings and bridges now use Taylor dampers. Our products are made in the United States at our two manufacturing facilities in North Tonawanda, New York. Learn more:

Modern defense and aerospace programs now operate at “wartime speed,” requiring new capabilities to be developed and deployed in months rather than years. To meet this demand, Taylor Devices has established an in-house development lab that brings together dedicated engineering, expert machining, advanced CNC equipment, and high-performance 3D printing. This integrated capability allows us to move rapidly from concept to field-ready hardware, even for the most demanding components.

Last week, Taylor Devices celebrated the official grand opening of the Alan Klembczyk Development Lab with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The lab is named in honor of Alan Klembczyk, the recently retired President of Taylor Devices, in recognition of his leadership and lasting contributions to the company.
