Worlds of Work is celebrating 10 years of inspiring the next generation of West Alabama’s workforce!

Join West Alabama Works for Worlds of Work 2026, a hands-on career exploration experience connecting students with local industries, employers, and career pathways across West Alabama.

Students will explore real-world careers, meet the people behind them, and get hands-on experience while discovering what their future could look like.

As work continues on the renovation of Fayette First Methodist Church, we're uncovering the timeless beauty that has been part of this historic sanctuary for generations. From exposed original brick walls to the installation of new windows that will bring fresh light into the space, each step reveals more of the character and craftsmanship that have stood the test of time.

This is just a progress update, but it's exciting to see the history of this cherished church emerging as we help prepare it for many more years of worship and fellowship.

Harrison Construction was proud to participate in the ABC of Alabama Young Professionals Summit held Tuesday, September 22nd at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. The event brought together current and future leaders from across Alabama's construction industry for a day of networking, professional development, and industry-focused discussions.

Representing Harrison Construction at the summit were Taylor Whitely, Baker Grant, and JC Frederick, along with several team members who helped shape the day's programming and discussions.

Harrison Construction was especially honored to have multiple leaders serving as speakers during the event. Vice President Lance Wyatt participated in the panel discussion, The Road to Ownership, where industry leaders shared insights on leadership, career growth, and the journey toward ownership within construction organizations.

In addition, Tim Harrison moderated the session Construction Court: Conflict Resolution, leading a discussion on effectively navigating challenges and resolving conflicts in the construction industry. Hannah Hale Cusimano also represented Harrison Construction as a panelist during Leadership Beyond the Title: What FLIC Graduates Learned About Leading in Construction, sharing valuable perspectives on professional growth and leadership development.

The summit highlighted ABC of Alabama's commitment to investing in the next generation of construction professionals by providing opportunities to learn from experienced industry leaders and connect with peers from across the state.

We had a blast spending the day with some future builders during Construction Day. From hard hats to heavy equipment, the excitement was contagious and the smiles said it all.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the bravery of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.

The American flag flying serves as a reminder of the strength that unites us and the values that continue to move our country forward.

⛳ Last week, the Harrison Construction team was on the course for the 36th Annual Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa Charity Golf Tournament, a long-standing event benefiting the Adopt-A-School Program.

This year's tournament is especially meaningful for our team as we play in support of Rock Quarry Elementary School, Harrison Construction's adopted school through the program.

Before teeing off in the 4-man scramble, Sam Maughan, Cole Benton, Baker Grant and Thomas Zegler gathered for a quick photo. We appreciate opportunities like this that allow us to support local students, strengthen community partnerships, and give back to the schools that help shape our future.
