I have had a few people reach out to our company about septic tank alarms going off because of the rain and snow melt. You can see in this picture the conduit where the electrical comes into the tank. Many times these pipes are where groundwater and stormwater runoff find it’s way into the tank. When more water is coming into the tank then the pump can handle the alarm goes off.

It’s important to find the problem while the ground is still saturated and correct it. If water is being pumped into the drain field that the bed wasn’t designed to handle it can cause a failure.
