Zartman Construction, Inc.

Zartman Construction, Inc. Zartman Construction, Inc. is a local construction company in Central PA. We deal with Commercial, We do both plan and spec work and design build projects.

Founded in 1973, Zartman Construction, a full service general contractor, has built hundreds of buildings in the central Susquehanna Valley concentrating on commercial, industrial and institutional building construction. We have built our company to be the largest construction company in the Central Susquehanna Valley. Our team of professionals can guide you through the construction process. They

are supported with computerized estimating, CAD and scheduling software. We don't just build new buildings, we routinely handle complex remodeling, structural modifications and work around ongoing operations. While we work primarily in the Susquehanna Valley , we have projects all over central and eastern Pennsylvania and some work out of state. Our program of work from our bonding company is in excess of $45,000,000. We are very conscientious of scheduling and the impact a schedule has to the owner. We self perform the concrete, carpentry and steel erection aspects of a project. Doing this work ourselves lets us drive the project and not vice versa. We support our employees with the tools and equipment to do the job efficiently, but more importantly, we strongly believe in training and safety. We have a full time safety director, and we closely monitor our job sites to ensure safe conditions. Our workmen's compensation experience modification factor is consistently less than 1, well below the national average. We are a registered home improvement contractor in Pennsylvania. Our HIC # is PA012240.

The third awardee is Estimating Engineer Ethan Tharp.

Nomination: “Ethan is out going and willingly accepts challenges. He does a remarkable turn around on the tasks assigned to him.

When asked “do you think you can make this work”, or “any chance of getting this turned around in 1-2 days?” Ethan does not disappoint.

Ethan is a general pleasure to work with and I look forward to seeing him continue to grow. He is willing to try different tasks for growth opportunities: APM, Estimating takeoff, Estimating, PM (running off several of his own estimates as a learning experience)”

Dave recently presented Nailed It awards to three members of our team for consistently exceeding expectations. The first of the awardees is crane operator Jared Trelinski.

Nomination: “Jared does whatever is asked of him whether it is after hours or on weekends without any push back. Every customer that has him on their job in the past few weeks has called in for repeat work or just to say how great he does and how smooth he runs the crane. A passerby actually called in because he saw how good Jared was doing and decided to have us perform some crane work for him.”

A customer also shared the following about Jared: “I would like you to know that I have had the pleasure of having your crane operator, Jared on my job site twice now. He is a very personable and polite guy. He is very good at his job! When at the controls he is incredibly smooth. Many crane operators I’ve worked with over the last 25 years will at times make movements without being signaled to because they think they know what you need. That is very dangerous! Jared responds very well to signals and ONLY moves when he is told. He is very attentive and always paying attention. He is extremely professional and willing to work with you in planning to ensure safety and the most effective way to make the pick. I hope to have him on all my jobs when we use your services. You have a great employee here and I thought it appropriate to reach out to you.”
