Job Description

Well established paving and excavating company is seeking experienced Laborers to start for the 2020 season. The ideal candidate has previous asphalt paving experience as a Rake Man, Screed Operator, or Shovel Man. This person will be able to efficiently and safely work on a variety of projects.

Job Task

Operation of all types of asphalt paving equipment including asphalt paver boxes, rollers, broom skid steer, and backhoe

Conducting manual labor including shoveling, booming and raking.

Operating small equipment including a skid steer

Using hand tools: the ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.

Equipment cleanup and organization

Assisting in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.

Performing other duties as required.

Must be able to maintain a safe working environment

Experience:

3-5 years' laborer experience preferred

Familiarity with municipal and private paving contracts, including concrete sidewalk, road overlay, utility, and reclaiming preferred

CDL preferred

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record & background check

Benefits:

Prevailing rate wages
Union or Non-Union employees accepted

Well established paving and excavating company is seeking experienced Machine Operator to start for the 2020 season. The ideal candidate has backhoe, excavator, roller, and grader operating experience. This person will be able to efficiently and safely operate the vehicles in a variety of work applications.

Other job duties and requirements include, but are not limited to:

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures

Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers

Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept cleaned, and stored in a safe manner

Check filters and grease equipment

Keep work area and equipment clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse

Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent and coworkers

Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required

3-5 years' operating experience required

Familiarity with municipal and private paving contracts, including concrete sidewalk, road overlay, utility, and reclaiming preferred

This person will be able to efficiently and safely operate the vehicles in a variety of work applications.
