As we move into this next season, we wanted to share a bit more clearly what Avorin is here to do.

Avorin exists to support public health and community health work in faith-based and local settings. That support often happens quietly behind the scenes through program revision, data analysis, research support, and walking alongside organizations as they serve their communities.

This year, you’ll see us spending less time talking about tools for their own sake and more time sharing what it actually looks like to support community health work thoughtfully, ethically, and with humility. Sometimes that includes data, research, or technology. Other times, it looks like sitting at a table with church leaders, revising a program so it better serves the people it was created for.

Our focus this year is consistency, stewardship, and supporting work that is already happening. We believe meaningful public health work doesn’t always need a spotlight to matter. Often, it just needs steady hands, careful listening, and having faith in the small things.
