The New Optometry Clinic at VAMC Bedford, MA. Another project expertly completed safely, on time, and on budget by Superintendent Jack Lorusso and his crew.

Serving our veterans; one day and one project at a time.

The school isn't open now, and that is what it is, however, we are making it a more comfortable place to be for the students and staff.

Making the best of a tough situation at Dedham High School. The crew at Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. is on the job installing a new Roof Top system at one of our many sites. When they do get back in session, they will be comfortable.

Another job expertly performed to serve our veterans at the Bedford VAMC in Massachusetts.

Jack LoRusso and his amazing crew just crushed this project using our simple approach. Teamwork, absolute attention to details and cleanliness, and above all else, making sure that safety is Job #1.

The first six photos are from February when the prep work for the new installation was being done, the rest are of the installation done in March.

Like most of our superintendents, Jack tends to be a bit modest, however the reality is that he and every one of them working at all of our job sites are truly masters of their crafts. The proof is seen in the photos.

Well done Jack. Well done indeed.

Several years ago in the late winter/early spring, Veterans Development Corporation was awarded a project to refinish the "Tank Farm" located within the walls of the Central Heating Plant in Washington, DC.

One of the really interesting things about this project was that one could have worked in DC and walked by this building for an entire career and never know that these tanks were there.

As the photos show, the "farm" went from a lot of rust to a lot of shiny silver. I might add, DC can be very cold at that time of year. Add that cold to all that steel and piping, and sometimes driving rain, and it wasn't always fun...

This is a great, long term project that we have been working on at the VAMC in Brockton, MA. As the photos clearly show, we added and improved egress to several of the buildings on that campus. Our supervisor Alex Belyshev and his crew have just been killing it. Nice work Alex.

Back on a chilly morning in March of 2019, the VAMC in Manchester, NH needed a specialty sink removed and replaced. The photos don't tell the whole story though because while the plumbing aspect was much like any other large sink, getting it into the building took more than a little thought. The choices boiled down to lifting it to a nearby accessible roof and then partially demolishing a wall in the room adjacent to that roof, or simply manhandling it up several flights of stairs. We chose the stairs so as to avoid the demo and repair of that room. Whatever it takes to get the job done well and efficiently...

On Sunday, May 13, 2007, twenty-seven year old Army First Lt. Andrew J. Bacevich of Walpole was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb. Like all of the deaths of our men and women in uniform, this one was devastating.

Because this was a young man who resided in the main service area of our company, it also hit home in a big way for Veterans Development Corporation CEO Mark V. Voner, and he was not satisfied with simple condolences. Instead, early in 2008, Mr. Voner got to work and made sure that Lt. Bacevich would be honored and remembered in his home-town for countless generations to come.

Mr. Voner rallied our workforce, put up a lot of his personal money and got other business leaders to help financially as well to have this plaque made and renovate the long dormant C.S. Bird Fountain in Walpole, and then rededicate it to Lt. Bacevich.

The newly flowing water from this beautiful fountain almost serves metaphorically as tears from the town and greater community for Lt. Bacevich and all the rest from wars as far back as the French-Indian War of 1754 up to our present day who have been commemorated in the nearby area.

The somber dedication ceremony was held on November 8, 2008 and we at Veterans Development Corporation will never forget the sacrifice of Lt. Bacevich nor the hard work of our people and the community at large.
