Rember to clear those vents!

During and after a snowstorm, make sure vents for the dryer, furnace, stove and fireplace are clear of snow to prevent the buildup of carbon monoxide in your home.

CO poisoning can occur when a fuel-burning appliance or machine, such as a furnace, heater, or generator, is not vented correctly. CO is an odorless and colorless gas, so people may not know they are being exposed.

Exposure at any level is toxic, but high levels can be fatal.

This weekend, temperatures and real feel/wind chills may reach the -20s at times, conditions that most home heating systems are not designed to handle. Even newer homes may struggle to maintain temperature, and older homes will likely see indoor temps drop despite systems running nonstop.
