Eichler Interior Panel Solution. Many Eichler homeowners know of the problem of finding the original dark colored mahogany interior panels used in their homes. Difficult if not impossible to find.

Here's a better solution, and it stays MCM with a fresh splash. Use "Weldtex" aka combed or striated plywood panels. But you might think this is not staying true to the mid-century modern design. No, that would be incorrect, though an understandable thought.

Weldtex was used extensively in the 50's. In the modern homes of Palm Springs, Ohio, Florida, and many other locations. As I write this, I'm in Palm Springs for Modernism Week.

My wife, Annette and I visited a number of homes two of which recently installed our brand new Weldtex panels in their homes.
