Almost finished with this deck remodel. We are building out these post base with the black PVC and Trex Havana Gold. We are going to add a drink rail on the balcony and a skirting on the main deck on Monday.

We now have an approved plan with a established code path to create a ledger board onto this pre-existing cantilevered balcony that we had to remove.

The building inspector met me here today and approved my method of installation. With a little bit of due diligence, and knowledge of structural load paths we are getting it done.
