Hi, My names Drew Thomas, I’m not running the Chicago 13.1 because I’m a great runner. I’m running because this cause is worth it.
Lawndale Christian Health Center is doing work that doesn’t always get attention but has real impact. They’re one of the leading providers of diabetes screening and prevention for underserved communities across Chicago; serving people without insurance, families, immigrants, the elderly, and those who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
Through their network of community partners across the city, they’re reaching people who otherwise wouldn’t get care at all. They don’t just treat illness; they catch it early, prevent it, and give people a better shot at a healthy life.
