This small straight-line carton is running on a Signature Elite 110 equipped with a turning station. Incorporating a turn into the production run allows the carton to be inkjet printed in one orientation, then rotated to complete the folding process.

It’s a great example of how the right folder gluer configuration can be adapted to the needs of different customer requirements.

Good training shouldn't leave an operator dependent on technical support. It should give them the knowledge and confidence to solve more problems on their own.

That's exactly what happened after AIM Training Specialist Jimmy spent a week working hands-on with an operator at Smurfit Westrock Dallas facility.

Along with a notebook full of training notes, time was spent returning a Signature Folder Gluer to OEM specifications and even getting a Sig-Pack running that hadn't successfully run in two years.

But the best feedback came after Jimmy left.

"Our operator shows more initiative and brings me solutions."

The operator has since taken what he learned during the training and applied it to other folder gluers in the facility.

That's what good training, and good service, should accomplish.

After an incredible 51 years with American International Machinery, we celebrated the retirement of our longtime colleague, Mary!

For more than five decades, Mary has been a steady presence at AIM, supporting our team through years of growth, change, and countless milestones. Her dedication, reliability, and many years of service have made her an important part of AIM's history.

We were happy to gather together for lunch this week to celebrate Mary and thank her for everything she has contributed over the years.

And as her new glass perfectly states "Every sip tastes like it's not your problem anymore!"

Congratulations on your retirement, Mary! We wish you all the best as you begin this well-earned next chapter. You will certainly be missed! ❤️

After a sheet is die cut, small "nicks" intentionally hold the cartons together until they're ready for the next stage. Before the cartons can be folded and glued, those nicks must be broken cleanly.

When nick breaking isn't properly adjusted, the result can be torn carton edges, feeding problems, increased waste, and unnecessary downtime.
