THROWBACK Thursday- This custom home, completed in 2005, reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail that defined our work then—and still does today. Built in close collaboration with the homeowners, every element was thoughtfully designed, from layout to the finishing touches. Prepare for power outages with these safety tips!

•Charge cellphones & portable batteries today.
•Have a spare flashlight or lamp with batteries.
•Keep refrigerator & freezer doors closed.
•Do NOT use a gas stove to heat your home.
•ONLY use generators outdoors.
•Keep vehicle's gas tank as full as possible.
•Sign up for emergency alerts in case of road closures & floods.
•Close off rooms to avoid wasting heat; keep activity limited to as few rooms as possible to keep heat centralized.
•Close blinds or curtains to keep in heat.
•Stuff towels or rags in cracks under doors.
•Wear layers of loose-fitting, warm clothing.
•Eat & drink. Food provides energy to warm the body.
