Friends of ORNL - FORNL FORNL is an organization of Oak Ridge National Laboratory retirees, employees, and others who are interested in ORNL science and technology.

FORNL luncheon meetings feature speakers on diverse topics related to Oak Ridge National Laboratory science and engineering. They are free and open to the public, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, January to November, in the East Tennessee Economic Council meeting room at 1201 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge. FORNL also hosts periodic community lectures for a broader audience, supports STEM e

This museum exhibit about Alvin Weinberg is an outgrow of the Weinberg Papers project that has been a long-term interest of Friends of ORNL.

Join us for the official opening of our newest exhibit, Meet Alvin Weinberg on Sunday, October 27 at 2 pm! This celebration will include a ribbon cutting, brief remarks, light refreshments, and a chance to talk to the project team. RSVPs are not required, and admission to the Children’s Museum will be free on that afternoon.
