The Boron Nitride Lubricoat, was first introduced in 1985; the term “Lubricoat” was registered as trademark in 1989; and Boron Nitride Lubricoat® is known as THE leader for coating all molten metal transport materials to achieve eye-popping nonwetting. Boron Nitride Hardcoat was developed for hardness and abrasion resistance along with the nonwetting of boron nitride and is “the” unique and industry-leading coating of its type. In 1998, ZYP Coatings formulated our world famous BLUE boron nitride coatings which provide the increased visibility needed on white ceramic substrates. In 2002, ZYP Coatings, Inc. developed its unique, state-of-the-art continuous process for the production of Boron Nitride powders used in its coatings. The highly crystalline, highly-pure and highly-uniform powder produced led to the observation that “All BN is not the same”. ZYP Coatings is now known and sells its products worldwide, and is “World Leader in Boron Nitride Coatings” … with the monikers “Formulated with Ultra-High-Purity Boron Nitride” and “Foremost in Product Quality, Service & Selection since 1982”. In 2016 the blue color was trademarked for Boron Nitride paints.
