September Landscaping Tips đ
September is one of those months where a little work in the yard can go a long way.
The summer heat starts backing off, the soil is still warm, and cooler weather gives us a great opportunity to get a few things done before winter.
This is a good time to plant trees and shrubs, aerate and overseed the lawn, clean up planting beds, refresh mulch, and check your landscape lighting as the days start getting shorter.
One thing Iâve learned over the years is that you donât have to tackle everything at once. A few small things done at the right time can make a big difference in how your landscape looks this fallâand how well it comes back next spring.
And donât be too quick to put the outdoor spaces away. Some of the best evenings on the patio are ahead of us in Western Pennsylvania!
