Pacific Gas and Electric smoke and mirrors.
"You will be paying less for the electricity you use."
The notification goes on to show significant cost increases in TOTAL COST for most rate payers, and insult to injury, those who are less likely to be able to afford it.
They "lower" electricity costs, but increase delivery charges.
Pardon my cynicism...but how typical is this? Rhetorical Question

Here are photos of a recently commissioned solar PV/battery backup system in the Oakland Hills.
Our nation's energy policy has taken a step backward with the loss of the Federal Tax Credit for Solar PV and batteries due to the "Big Beautiful Bill." However, I'll bet the tax credit will be back, as it has been grandfathered in in the past. Nevertheless, electric rate-paying customers still see the value of solar PV and battery installations in California, and beyond, due to the excessive price of electricity and the financial savings these solar systems generate. Designed and installed by three CSLB-licensed contractors, General, Electric, and Roofing, we're the best team for the "one and done" installation of a high-quality and warranted solar PV and battery backup system. The depicted project consists of 20 x 440 Watt USA-made solar modules, with a backup 10kW DC battery system that can "peak shave" higher-cost electricity during peak cost hours.

2025 has once again been a very successful year in the solar and energy storage industry. National Installation of solar and battery systems outpaced the growth of energy demand. GoSimpleEnergy (formerly GoSimpleSolar) by Semper Fidelis Construction Inc has once again contributed to that clean energy growth with many solar and battery installations in 2025. Here are just a few samples of our work: Solar panels, Energy Storage, and standard and specialty Roofing Installation. All done with three Contractor's State License Board Licenses: General Contractor, Electric, and Roofing, with 25-year product warranties and 10-year workmanship warranties. We do what we say, when we say, for the price we say. It's why ALL of our 2025 installations were referred customers.
