Today we recycled Cleaire Longview serial number 0001, which was the first CARB approved NOx + PM reducing retrofit system.

Seeing as though we aren't aware of any museum for diesel aftertreatment, we'll happily recycle it and return the precious metals contained back to the supply chain.

One of the biggest challenges we face are shops and fleets either landfilling or tossing old DPFs/DOCs in the scrap bin....Chariwoman Nichols' advice on disposal, "These things (DPFs) certainly shouldn't be thrown away, no matter what. There is recoverable material."

This shot of our operations center floor is good reminder that DPFs don't belong in the landfill or scrap pile. The precious metals being returned to the supply chain here is significant. These parts need to be recycled. Red Fox will take care of that for you.

As Q4 of 2018 gets into full swing, its a good reminder that we're winding down on year 10 of DPFs being a fact of life for diesel truck fleets, dealers and OEMs.

Many OEMs are sunsetting their core return programs on the '07-'09 vintage as cores of this age are rarely in good enough condition to be remanufactured...as such DPF & DOC cores are stacking up at fleets and dealers all over the US... Remember, Red Fox will buy them, pay for shipping and recycle them for you. We recycle these parts to return precious metals back to the supply chain.

We've got a new blog post up on some recent changes made by CARB that will impact fleets and service providers in California.

As of May 25, 2018, CARB adopted changes to the current PSIP opacity limits with lower limits and required self-inspections for California-based vehicles.
