As were in a freezing spell

Friendly reminder !!

If you have a heat pump, it’s normal for the outside unit to drip water when the heat is on. In heating mode, moisture in the air freezes on the outdoor coil, then melts during the defrost cycle—creating water under the unit.

This happens more in cool or damp weather. You may even see steam for a moment. It’s only a concern if ice never melts or you stop getting heat inside.
