Lane Construction is now hiring equipment operators, truck drivers, general laborers, and flaggers. All interested applicants will need to fill out an application at our office at 3925 Hwy 57, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Experience preferred. Drivers license is a plus. Our current project is in Gulfport, MS. Our projects typically consist of dirtwork, underground utilities, some concrete work, and pipelaying. Insurance available after probation period. No per diem available.

Dumb driver alert!! So this guy drives through our ROAD CLOSED barricades and leaves his car parked in the middle of our project to walk to his dr appointment. Sir, if you are seeing this, you car is about to get towed.

Anticipation is building for the opening of the roundabout on Ocean Springs Rd. Here is a review on how to use a roundabout. We expect to have the road open before Christmas, best case scenario later next week. Remember the new speed limit is only 25 mph all the way to Deana Rd from King Henry and 15 mph in the roundabout.

Attention Fort Bayou Estates.
If you use King Henry to enter OS Rd, be sure to STOP at the stop sign. We watch people blow through that sign all day because they think no one is coming from the closed section. All week we will have asphalt trucks entering and leaving the site. THEY have the right of way. If you pull out in front of them it will be your fault if an accident occurs. Our crew trucks have had several near misses from this same problem. Be safe people.

Paving crews are onsite today at the OSRd Roundabout. Use caution when traveling on OS Rd. Trucks will be leaving and entering the project frequently. Barricades may be down at times but the road is still closed. Do not try to enter project area as you will be disturbing paving process and damages to your vehicle may result. This goes for golf carts too. We will take your picture and post it on social media if you do something dumb. This project is in the final stages and we are working diligently to get the road back open. Thank you for your continued patience.

Stuck in traffic on OS Rd this morning? Here is why. Asphalt milling will be happening all week. They are grinding off the top layer of asphalt to prepare for the final asphalt pavement to be installed next week. Once final paving is complete and striped, the cones will come down and the whole operation will move down to the future roundabout location.

Our subcontractors, Landmark Contracting, are forming and pouring a long median island today between Monticello and King Henry. One lane closures will continue for the next two to three weeks.
Be sure to keep an eye out for detour signs that will be going up soon. It is preparation for closing the road completely to begin construction of the roundabout at Groveland and Hospital.
We appreciate your patience when navigating through the project. There are several crews trying to coordinate their daily tasks while continuing to keep the road open.

***UPDATE*** 📣📣

King Henry entrance is scheduled to be paved tomorrow!! 🙌🙌

In the meantime however there will unfortunately be a 2” drop so PLEASE be careful and signal well in advance before turning in (because you’ll have to take it slow.

Also, allow for plenty of time when getting onto OS Rd. because you will need to enter the road very slowly.

East Mississippi Community College Golden Triangle is hosting a first-of-its-kind camp. Middle school and High School girls are learning hands-on about construction.

Ocean Springs Rd. Crews will be out today sawcutting asphalt in center of road. Drive with caution and watch for workers entering and exiting roadway. Flaggers will have traffic stopped for one lane closures. Be patient or find an alternate route. Construction of concrete median islands will be next followed by resurfacing of roadway.
Sidewalk construction continues so watch for flaggers and concrete trucks entering roadway.

Road widening will begin today on Ocean Springs Rd. Now until the end of this project, there will be disruptions to the flow of traffic. This would be a great opportunity to find alternate routes to avoid this area if possible.
