When you have the right team, magic like this happens.

Mike And John from Shady Tree crafted a beautiful landscape where not a single detail was missed. From the lighting to the pathways, every detail highlighted the plantings in the most natural way. Nothing forced, nothing rushed.

Adam Steele and his team did an incredible job incorporating the pool into the landscape as if it had always been there from the beginning.

Tina Fields perfectly captures the experience perfectly and give the visuals life and a sense of soul as she peaks through the landscape.

In today’s world, projects that are patient and take their time to come together don’t happen as often as we would like, but when they do, it’s nothing short of magic.

The feelings that are created in the backyard can’t be described but only experienced. The soft movement of the grasses. The calming sounds of the water. The enchanting flames that come up during the evening. Everything comes together to transport you to a place or serenity and calm where life slows down to be enjoyed with the ones around you

Where the drawing becomes the house.

Every project we design begins as construction linework — so we built a way to show both at once. We call it a Hidden-Line Reveal: the finished, photoreal home dissolving back into the architect’s sketch it came from. Part drawing, part reality, on a single sheet.

Swipe through → a shingled front on Harvard Road, a timber-framed great room out on Gin Lane, a winter morning at 94 Park, and a couple of quiet corners in between.

Wednesday Workshop: five ways to make a new home feel timeless. 🤍

Trends date a house fast. These are the things that don’t — the fundamentals we come back to on every project:

1. Get the proportions right — scale and symmetry age better than square footage.
2. Build with materials that age — stone, solid wood, unlacquered brass that patina instead of date.
3. Design around the light — orient to the sun, frame the views.
4. Let the millwork do the talking — paneling, trim, and ceiling detail are the custom tell.
5. Edit, don’t decorate — a calm palette and a few things done well.

Go ahead — soak it in.

A freestanding tub, unlacquered brass, and a wall of paneled millwork. The master bath at 108 Ocean Ave was designed to feel like the quietest room in the house — a place to slow down at the end of the day, just steps from the water.

The details do the work here: a black-and-brass vanity, warm sconce light, Calacatta underfoot, and a soaking tub positioned to catch the morning sun.

The rooms nobody photographs.

Everybody shoots the kitchen. But a house actually works (or doesn’t) in the spaces you pass through every day — the drop zone after school, the laundry you’d rather hide, the lockers that keep the chaos contained.

On this renovation we sweated those rooms: flush inset cabinetry, a pull-out drying rack, machines tucked behind a panel, and brick herringbone underfoot to take the abuse. Quietly done, expertly crafted, built to last.

Black & white on purpose — so the focus is the craft, not the color. 🤍
